With its sustainability campaign "Bye Buy" (creation: The Goodwins, Berlin) launched last month, Ebay Kleinanzeigen has struck a nerve with the young target group. This is also reflected in the Youtube advertising charts, which the portal topped in August ahead of Branded Entertainment by Mercedes-Benz and Yumtamtam (Edeka).
With this campaign, Ebay Kleinanzeigen wants to make the sale of second-hand clothes palatable, especially to Generation Z, and relies above all on the argument of sustainability. The accompanying gaudy music video with the pop duo TOCHTER obviously serves its purpose. More than five million views on YouTube in just over four weeks speak for themselves. The top spot in the Youtube advertising charts in August is now on top of that.
Mercedes-Benz takes second place with its web series featuring TV presenter and car enthusiast Matthias Malmedie. In the episode in question, Malmedie presents the new E-Class Estate. The bronze rank in August goes to the Edeka brand channel Yumtamtam, which has just won the Youtube Golden Camera Digital Award. In the clip, the team prepares a summery panna cotta. The top 5 in August are completed by Deutsche Telekom, which introduces its "RAN" team in the YouTube video, and Samsung and a new product spot for the Galaxy Note 20 and 20 Ultra 5G smartphones.
