Since the Berlin agency The Goodwins has been at the creative helm at Ebay Kleinanzeigen,
the platform is increasingly focusing on attitude issues in its communication, positioning itself against hate and advocating sustainability - and always in a musical way. This is no different in the new flight of the campaign. This time, the client and the agency want to put an end to the wasteful shopping madness in the run-up to Christmas and are calling for "Green Sunday" instead of Black Friday.

Whether it's Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Christmas itself - the last weeks of the year in 2020 will once again be dominated by the shopping frenzy. And that doesn't exactly conserve resources: items are produced, packed and shipped all over the world, which costs a lot of money and puts a strain on the planet. Reason enough for Ebay Kleinanzeigen to invent the "most sensible shopping day of the year": "Green Sunday", which will take place on 22 November - and thus before Black Friday (27 November) and Cyber Monday (30 November).

Ebay Kleinanzeigen - Cycle of Things

Because the two shopping holidays, which are firmly anchored in the memory of modern consumers, have a clear electronics focus, Ebay Kleinanzeigen also focuses on them in its new music video. Unlike Amazon, Media-Markt and others, however, the platform wants to steer consumption in a sustainable direction and advocates second-hand trade. For this purpose, the band TinTin wrote the song "Kreislauf der Dinge" (Cycle of Things) especially for the campaign, which she introduces in her usual joyful way in theEbay clip.

Like the previous flights of the campaign under the motto "Let's trade", the latest video will again be played out in the digital channels and social networks. With this campaign, Ebay Kleinanzeigen and The Goodwins want to motivate young people in particular to advertise a used item on the platform in 2020 in order to pass on as many items as there are inhabitants in Germany. In the meantime, this goal has even been clearly exceeded with about 100 million advertisements. By the end of the year, Ebay Kleinanzeigen says it wants to break the mark of 120 million items.

The film was once again produced by Commercial Film Service (CFS) and Streetsmart Media, directed by Zoran Bihac. Artist casting and song production was done by Mokoh Music. Media planning and buying was handled by Mediacom in Berlin. The landing page was developed by Moccu, Berlin. The social media measures came from GUD.Berlin.
